ORYA is proud to announce two big improvements that have helped make Oak Ridge Elementary an even better place for our kids!

New Gym Lights - Prior to the start of basketball season we were able to work with Guilford County Schools to replace the old gym lights with brand new LEDs.  These are more energy efficient, cost effective, don't require time to warm up, and are BRIGHTER.   Mr. Smith, the Vice Principal, arranged a simple deal, if ORYA pays for the lights then GCS staff will install them.   We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to help improve the school with such a great, long term solution!

Repaired Concession stand - The ORES Concession stand is no longer used to sell snacks and drinks, but the bathrooms are invaluable to our sports programs.  Over the years the doors have shown signs of wear. The thresholds have broken and no longer keep critters out. The door closers, which prevent the doors from being blown open or slamming, are beyond repair.   Today we have someone out there installing new thresholds and door closers, as well as installing new combo locks on all three doors that will allow our coaches and players easier accessibility.  We are so excited to give that building some much needed love!

This is just the beginning as we have even more plans in the works to improve the ORES facilities!  Stay tuned . . .
